THE CASE STUDY
Interior Designers are in a unique position to specify materials and luminaires that promote environmentally viable solutions. Lighting plays a major role in the requirements for sustainable practices and demands that daylighting is maximized for a quality lighting design.
Daylighting is the practice of using materials and methods of construction to allow sunlight (direct light from the sun) to penetrate a space and provide sunlight indirectly. To accomplish this, Interior Designers must be able to control the amount of daylight entering a space, passively through building orientation, building design, and operable window coverings and treatments.
Studies show that daylight alleviates disorientation, improves productivity, and enhances mood. Daylight also reveals colors in their truest shades and enhances visual acuity. For this reason, when designing interiors it is important to model and analyze the amount of daylight a space will receive.

The poster was created as a visual aid to showcase the importance of daylight analysis and its impact in purposeful interior design.
El Poster fue creado como una ayuda visual para demonstrar la importandcia de la luz que da el sol y el impacto que tiene en el deseño de interiores hecho con proposito.
